Half way through my last semester of college!

It’s so bittersweet to think I am halfway done with my last undergraduate semester at CBU! I have absolutely loved going to school at California Baptist! It’s one of the best schools, they set you up to succeed and help you throughout all your career choices!

I can’t believe graduation is in less than 8 weeks!🤯

Then I start Loma Linda’s Physical Therapy Assistant program in the summer!

What I’ll miss most about CBU is

- Chapel we attend weekly

- The professor that deeply care about you

- How close it is to home

- The friends I’ve made throughout my years here

- The people

CBU offers so much! I will miss it so so much!

... Read moreHey everyone! I totally get that feeling of looking at your college journey and wondering if you're doing enough, or if it's too late to really make a difference. As a college senior reflecting on my bittersweet final semester at California Baptist University, I can tell you with absolute certainty: it is never too late to start studying hard and turn things around! When I think about how CBU set me up for success, it wasn't just magic; it was about making conscious choices throughout my years here. Even if you're in your sophomore year and feel like you've missed some opportunities, every single day is a new chance to build momentum. Here are a few things I've learned that might help if you're wanting to boost your grades and feel more confident in your studies: Re-evaluate Your 'Why': Why did you come to college? For me, knowing I wanted to get into a demanding program like the Physical Therapy Assistant program at Loma Linda really motivated me. What are your post-graduation dreams? Keep those in mind! Make Friends with Your Schedule: Seriously, time management is a game-changer. Dedicate specific blocks for studying, even if it's just an hour or two at first. Treat them like non-negotiable appointments. Utilize Campus Resources: CBU had amazing professors who deeply cared, and I made sure to use their office hours. Don't be shy! Most universities offer free tutoring, writing centers, and academic advising. These people are literally there to help you succeed. Find Your Study Style: What works for one person might not work for another. Do you learn best by re-writing notes, making flashcards, trying group study, or teaching the material to someone else? Experiment to find what clicks for you. Don't Forget Self-Care: Studying hard isn't about burning out. Make sure you're still connecting with friends, enjoying campus life, and taking breaks. A well-rested mind learns better. I'll miss things like weekly chapel at CBU, which was a great way to reset and connect. Celebrate Small Wins: Every improved grade, every concept you master, is a step forward. Acknowledge your progress to keep yourself motivated. It’s easy to feel overwhelmed, but remember, many college seniors like me have been through it. The key is to start *now*. Don't let the thought of 'too late' hold you back from making your remaining semesters as impactful and successful as possible. You've got this!
