My first lemon8 post 🫶✨

Hey Lemon8 fam! It's RaMiyah again, diving a bit deeper into who I am beyond just my first post. You know, it really took me a minute to hit that 'post' button, even though I've loved stalking all your amazing content for months! I’m a 19-year-old college student, and honestly, balancing classes with being a college athlete keeps me pretty busy. I play softball for Meridian EAGLES, and it’s a huge part of my life. The early morning practices, the intense training, the team camaraderie, the thrill of a good game – it’s all so rewarding, even when it’s tough. Being an athlete has taught me so much about discipline, resilience, and pushing my limits, both on and off the field. When I'm not on the field or in class, you'll probably find me in the kitchen. I'm a total introvert, but cooking is one of my favorite ways to express myself and unwind. I love trying new recipes and exploring different cuisines, whether it’s whipping up a comforting home-cooked meal or experimenting with something completely new. There’s something so satisfying about creating something delicious from scratch and sharing it with loved ones. And speaking of home, my four dogs are my absolute world! They bring so much joy and playful chaos into my life, and I wouldn’t trade it for anything. They’re the best cuddle buddies after a long day of studies or practice. Another big part of my identity is my natural hair. It's definitely a journey, for sure! Even though it's often in protective styles like braids for convenience, I truly love my natural curls and embracing them. It's about self-acceptance and celebrating what makes me unique. My faith is also incredibly important to me; I really enjoy spending time with Jesus and finding peace and guidance in my spiritual life. It helps me stay grounded through all the ups and downs of college and life in general, offering a sense of purpose and calm. And for those curious about my personal life, I’m so lucky to have my amazing boyfriend by my side. We’ve been together for almost five years now – we were middle school and high school sweethearts! It’s incredible to share so many memories and have someone who knows me so well and supports me through everything. He’s my biggest cheerleader. I'm genuinely excited to use Lemon8 to share more of my adventures, from my college athlete life — including game day routines and fitness tips — to my favorite healthy (and not-so-healthy!) recipes, natural hair care routines, and just general life updates as a college student.
