Some school doodles I’ve done recently!

Okay, hands up if you've ever found yourself lost in a doodle during a particularly long lecture or a slightly less-than-thrilling class! 🙋‍♀️ You're not alone! My latest post showed some of my recent in-class doodles, and honestly, they're often just reflections of whatever quirky thoughts are buzzing around my head at the moment. For example, when November rolled around and there was still no sign of snow, my brain immediately went to that classic "Where's the snow?" question. Then, naturally, it spiraled into thoughts about global warming – because let's face it, that's a big topic on everyone's mind these days. It’s funny how a simple observation can lead to a whole mini-comic on a page. And then, feeling the chill, I remembered how much I miss my warm snowboots! It's a whole narrative, just from a quick sketch. Another time, I was sitting there, maybe a bit too focused on my laptop screen, and suddenly wondered: why do we name so much of our tech after animals and fruits? Seriously, think about it – Apple, BlackBerry, Python, mouse! Humans are weird, aren't they? That thought alone sparked a whole series of tiny drawings about different tech names. And funnily enough, that made me realize I really needed a new computer mouse, which also ended up in a drawing, even though I'm terrible at drawing actual mice! These little thought explorations are what make doodling so much fun for me. It’s like a visual diary of my brain's tangents. But beyond just being a fun way to pass the time, I truly believe school doodling has some real benefits. For me, it's a fantastic stress reliever. When I'm feeling overwhelmed or just need a mental break, a few minutes of aimless sketching can really help clear my head. Some studies even suggest that doodling can actually help you focus better and retain information! It's not about being distracted; it's about keeping your mind engaged enough to prevent it from completely zoning out. It's like a gentle hum in the background that keeps your cognitive engine running.
