30 something + dating 🥴
After my break up in 2022 I took literally a full year of nothing. No conversing, no entertaining, no adult activities…nothing. I took that time to really learn myself again. I took that time to learn who I was BECOMING, growing into, not who I was. I learned a lot and when I was ready in November 2023 to start dating again I did so.
It took a lot of convincing myself and a friend of mine to tell me to jump on a dating app…and boy was I nervous. BUT I found out a lot about what I like and what I will not settle for. A lot of the dudes don’t even leave off the app. And some I blocked once we exchanged numbers 🙄
Once 2024 came around I found a few guys that I can deal with and I also told myself not to be afraid to approach a guy in person. If he’s staring me down all night and I like what I see I have learned to make the first move. I also learned not to expect every guy you meet will be your husband and just don’t expect anything in general. Can’t get upset if you don’t expect!
I say all of that to say…go out and have a good time, don’t settle for nothing less than what you deserve and do it safely!
