「ムーミン谷で無料って本当？ここはどこ？」と聞かれることが多いので、私が行ったときの感覚で補足します。 まず“無料”の範囲は、スケート体験の参加費が0円で、貸靴・手袋・ヘルメットも無料という意味でした。家族で行くと地味にレンタル代がかさむので、これはかなり助かります。ただしムーミンバレーパーク自体の入園料は必要なので、そこだけ勘違いしないのがポイントです。 「ここはどこですか？」については、ムーミンバレーパーク内の“湖上のテラス”にある屋外リンクです。湖の上にかかる橋や、青いムーミン屋敷が見えるエリアが近くて、写真も撮りやすい場所でした。紅葉の時期は背景が一気に映えるので、リンク周辺を散歩するだけでも楽しいです。 服装は、氷のリンクではなく樹脂っぽい素材の上を滑るタイプだったので、体感的に「凍える寒さ」は少なめでした。私は普通のアウター＋動きやすいボトムでOK。スカートでも滑れますが、風がある日は体が冷えやすいので、タイツやレギンスを仕込むと安心です。手袋は貸してもらえますが、指先の冷えが気になる人は自分の厚手手袋を持っていくのもアリ。帽子や耳あてがあると待ち時間も快適でした。 受付は当日現地でLINE受付。これがかなり便利で、並びっぱなしになりにくいです。順番が近づくと通知が来るので、その間にムーミン屋敷方面を見たり、園内のデコレーション（秋の装飾やライト）を回ったりできます。初めてだと「どこで受付するの？」となるので、着いたらまず“湖上のテラスのリンク付近”を目指すと迷いにくいです。 子連れの場合は、4歳からOK・未就学児だけの体験は不可というルールがあるので要注意。靴サイズは15〜30cmで、サイズが合うか心配な子は厚手靴下を持参すると微調整しやすい印象でした。荷物は見守り＆置きスペースがあり、鍵付きロッカーもあるので身軽に滑れます。 最後に混雑感。連休の昼は園内が混んでいても、スケートの枠自体は意外と取れました。開園ダッシュ必須というより、“行ったらまず受付だけ済ませる”くらいで十分。夜はプロジェクションマッピングやライトアップが幻想的で、昼とは別のムーミン谷の雰囲気を味わえたので、時間があれば夕方〜夜もおすすめです。
