I wish babies didn’t get sick, but here is what we like to do when our babies aren’t feeling well. What natural remedies do you like to do?? Let me know in the comments 💘🥰.
When my baby gets sick, I always try to rely on natural remedies before turning to medication. One ingredient I've found surprisingly helpful is red onion. Its antiviral and antibacterial properties can be beneficial in clearing congestion. For example, I slice up a red onion and place it near the crib (securely out of the baby's reach) to help purify the air. Another natural aid that’s become a staple in our home is Celtic sea salt. Rich in minerals, it can be used in warm saline solutions for gentle nasal rinses, providing relief from stuffiness and helping maintain moisture in nasal passages. Making a homemade saline spray is quite simple and safe for babies when done carefully. In addition to these natural remedies, I emphasize ensuring my baby gets plenty of rest and stays well-hydrated. Gentle steam from a humidifier can also ease cough and congestion symptoms. Remember to monitor your baby’s temperature regularly and consult a pediatrician if symptoms worsen or persist. Each child is different; what works for one might not work for another. Sharing experiences with other parents and being open to gentle, natural approaches can make the sick days a bit easier for everyone involved. What natural remedies have you found effective with your baby? I’d love to hear your suggestions and experiences!
