Although I understand this, being a busy dad of 3, sometimes you have to sacrifice to get things accomplished. I get up at 4am to make things work for me, especially on the weekends. You heard me right, the weekends are even more important. Does it hurt? YES. Is it tempting to sleep in? ABSO-STINKING-LUTELY.

Carving out an extra hour here and there is crucial not only for keeping your writing skill alive, but for me it’s the only way I’m actually going to get this book finished. Not to mention, I have a stack of books that need read and I have a thriftbooks addiction, so the stack only grows. 📚

Early mornings, like the ones described by the author where he rises at 4 AM, can provide a quiet moment to focus on personal projects and passions before the day's responsibilities take over.
Time management is a crucial skill to effectively fit reading into your life. Consider utilizing tools like planners, setting clear goals, and breaking down your reading list into manageable chunks. Engaging with communities, such as local book clubs or online forums, can also promote accountability and motivate you to carve out that time. Opting for audiobooks during commutes or while performing routine tasks can seamlessly integrate literature into your daily life.
Moreover, establishing a dedicated reading space in your home can encourage a habit. Make reading a family affair by setting aside a designated time for everyone to read their books together—this not only elevates your reading experience but also fosters a love for reading in your children. Balancing commitments with personal interests might be challenging, but with strategic planning and a commitment to your passions, you can cultivate a fulfilling reading and writing routine.
I wish I had your dedication to getting up early 😅😅 you’re amazing!
