I’ve lived in Rome for 2 months as a study abroad college student. 📚✈️I encourage anyone who comes here to engage with the rich history of Rome. 🏛️🇻🇦Every structure has extensive history behind it dating as early as the 1100s!
Go Where?
📍Trevi Fountain: Built by Pope Clement XII, free to all, long line to go to the base of the fountain
📍Pantheon: Ancient Greek Temple (Converted to a Catholic Church), €2 Entry
📍Colosseum: €18 Entry, massive structure but you already knew that. There’s a direct metro stop there
📍Borghese Gallery: Gallery of Masterpieces collected by the extremely powerful Borghese family. Beautiful park in front of it.
📍Santa Maria Basilica(s): There are SO many Saint Mary Churches in Rome, any one of them has gorgeous Baroque architecture
📍Palazzo Navona: Huge Palace and town square with a large fountain and two beautiful churches. All free of course 😁
💸 Price Range: Depending on the restaurant and location, it’s typically €1-10 per meal. Don’t go to tourist traps! They will have waiters outside to talk to tourists
