I need some help on my hair journey
So this month I decided I want to start embracing my natural hair, with that being said I have NEVER tried to manage my natural hair type. I’ve always flattened or curled my hair or I’d just throw it up in a bun or pony tail. I am trying to figure out my hair type and I need help! I think I’m somewhere in between 2B-3B curls, and since I just started with curl products on damaged hair last week, I feel like my hair is going to change a lot over the next few months. But I feel like I have so much to learn and I want to start by knowing what curl pattern I have. I get some ringlets, a lot of what looks like tight waves, some loose curls, and some hairs that are flat and won’t keep a shape. My hair feels bipolar 😭
I’m using not your mothers bond repair shampoo and conditioner with the same brands leave in, curl cream, and mousse since it says it’s for all types and most people say they like it🤷🏻♀️. I usually diffuse after I put the product in but today I tried the plopping method and let it dry for 30 minutes before diffusing.
One issue I’m seeing is my hair looks stringy and idk if that’s the damage done on my hair, simply just my hair type, maybe a mix of both, or something else. I also feel like when I apply hair oil it completely kills some curls and my hair gets frizzy :(
But please let me know if you guys have advice and if you think you know my hair type!! Anything will help me on this journey!!❤️
