The Aspect of Essence is a beautiful fantasy with a bit of romance and whole lot of excitement.
Serenna is an elven-blooded(both human and Elf) girl living in the human realm. Her reality quickly changes course and she is thrown into a whole new world where she has to learn how to survive.
Jassyn is also elven-blooded, but he grew up in the elf realm where he is controlled by the council. He is forced to tutor Serenna to prepare her for the new challenges she will face.
Vesryn is a gorgeous prince whose power is overwhelming. He uses any chance he can get to torment others, and he is very good at it.
As my first ARC read I wasn’t sure what to expect from this journey. I have to say I didn’t expect the roller coaster of emotions this book gave me. The plot was so refreshing and original. Every aspect was well thought out and thoroughly executed. It is easy to get sucked into this universe. I am truly blown away by the world building that pulls you right into the story. The characters are so well written and interesting, each with their own unique personalities and heart wrenching stories, I don’t think I could chose a favorite. I could not put this book down! This is my favorite fantasy of the year. I cannot wait for the next book to come out.
