The One Prep Step I Never Skip: Creating Porosity ✨💅
If your gel polish keeps peeling or lifting way too soon, let’s be real... it’s probably not your polish. It’s your prep! 🤫
A lot of people think doing your nails is just about slapping on the color, but the real magic happens before the bottle even opens. For me, gently removing the natural shine to create adhesion channels is an absolute must.
Why is it such a game-changer? 🤔
Our natural nails are smooth and produce oils. If you apply gel or acrylic directly onto a shiny nail, the product has nothing to hold onto, so it pops right off. By gently using a buffer, we create a microscopic "porous" surface. The product seeps into those tiny grooves and—boom!—locks in place for weeks. 🦾
⚠️ Golden Rule: Keep it light and gentle! We’re only trying to remove the shine, not thin out or damage your natural nail.
