Must-Do's for Your Canyon Lake Boating Trip: Rent a Boat: If you don't own one, there are several marinas right on the lake where you can rent pontoon boats, speed boats, or even jet skis. Booking in advance, especially on weekends, is a must! The convenience of a floating dock makes boarding easy. Explore the Canyons: Don't just stick to the open water. Take your time to navigate into the narrower parts of the lake where the canyons truly come alive. The towering walls are incredible! We even spotted some ducks gracefully swimming by, which was a lovely sight. Sunset Views: Seriously, try to stay until sunset. Boating with Your Furry Friend: As you might know from my photos, I often bring my husky along for my adventures! Canyon Lake is fantastic for dog owners who want to include their pups. My husky absolutely loved being out on the boat, with his bright blue life vest on, of course! It’s important to ensure their safety with a proper-fitting vest and plenty of water for them too. Watching him gaze out at the water and mountains made the experience even more special. Just remember to check specific pet policies if you're renting a boat, and always clean up after your pet.
