ALT GIRL LOOKBOOK - outfits i wore recently 🖤✨

hi guys! here’s a quick peak at my style! this is a round up of some alt girl looks i wore recently :)

i really love wearing baggy pants. whether that’s jeans or sweatpants, i just feel so comfy & confident wearing them! they make me feel like a baddie.

but since it’s been getting warmer, ive been sprinkling in some shorts & dresses as well. i used to avoid them because they felt too feminine for me. but i’ve been having fun finding ways to style them that still feel edgy & alternative!

i really loved the first look with the lace skirt. i think it was my favorite! what do you guys think? :)

... Read moreHey everyone! So glad you're here to dive deeper into the world of alt girl fashion with me. Beyond just showing off recent outfits, I wanted to share some of my go-to tips and philosophy behind cultivating an authentic 'alt girl style' that truly makes you feel amazing. One of the biggest lessons I've learned is that alt fashion isn't about following strict rules; it's about expressing yourself. For me, that means prioritizing comfort without sacrificing edginess. That's why baggy pants, especially ripped baggy jeans, are a staple in my wardrobe. They're incredibly versatile – I pair them with a graphic tee for a casual vibe, or dress them up a bit with a sleek crop top and a chunky studded belt for a night out. The key is finding cuts that flatter your figure while still giving you that relaxed, cool-girl feel. But what about when the weather warms up, and you still want to maintain that alternative edge? This is where 'alt summer outfits' come in! I used to struggle with this, feeling like everything was too 'girly.' Now, I embrace pieces like denim shorts and even mini dresses, but I always make sure to style them in a way that feels true to my aesthetic. Think combining a delicate white sheer lace skirt with heavy platform boots – it creates such an interesting contrast! Or, if I'm wearing a black sleeveless mini dress, I'll add a bandana or a statement necklace to inject some personality. It’s all about those unexpected pairings that elevate a simple outfit into something distinctly alternative. Don't be afraid to experiment with different textures and layers, even in warmer weather. A lightweight mesh top over a bandeau, or a sheer overlay on a dress, can add depth without making you overheat. And accessories are your best friends in creating that 'edgy aesthetic.' My current obsessions include chunky silver jewelry, fishnet details, and of course, those essential platform boots that tie so many of my looks together. Ultimately, my journey with alt fashion has been about finding confidence. It's not just about the clothes, but how they make you feel. When I put on an outfit, whether it's a 'Cherry Bomb' crop top with black denim shorts for a casual alt look, or a more daring lace skirt ensemble, I want to feel powerful and authentically myself. Don't be afraid to mix traditionally 'feminine' items with 'alternative' ones. That blend is what makes your 'alt style girl' unique. So go ahead, experiment, find what resonates with you, and rock your alt girl outfits with unapologetic confidence!

When all we see is the big influencers with huge expensive wardrobes, that only post when they’re ALL done up, it gets easy for people to forget that alt fashion can be casual too. For anyone wondering where to start: band tees, fun textures/shapes, patching/mending your clothes, & sun faded fabrics are all great ways to subtly shift your wardrobe
