the sudoku packing method, alt girl edition! 🖤⛓️☀️

hiii! here is how i used the sudoku packing method to plan outfits as a girl who likes to dress a bit edgy/alternative :)

the sudoku packing method is where you start with 3 pairs of bottoms in a diagonal line & then add tops & outerwear to fill in the gaps.

i wanted to use this method to make some summer outfits, so instead of using outerwear i used bags! you could also use shoes instead of bags if you typically only bring one or two bags

i think the outfits came out really cute! 🖤

... Read moreThe sudoku packing method is an excellent way to organize your wardrobe, especially if you like mixing edgy and alternative styles like I do. Essentially, you start with three pairs of bottoms arranged diagonally, then fill in the rest with tops and accessories, creating multiple outfit combinations from rows and columns—just like a Sudoku grid. What I found interesting is adapting this technique for summer dressing by swapping out outerwear, which is typical in colder seasons, with bags instead. This tweak keeps outfits light while adding personality through statement totes, chains, or mini backpacks that fit an alt aesthetic perfectly. One of the best parts about using this method is the versatility it gives you. Instead of stressing over what shoes or bags to bring, the sudoku packing method ensures everything coordinates well. For example, selecting bags that match the color palette or theme of your tops can create a cohesive yet edgy look without overpacking. Plus, adding your favorite accessories like layered necklaces or chunky rings completes each ensemble effortlessly. In my experience, implementing this approach saved me time and luggage space on trips, and I always felt confident knowing my outfit choices were well-planned and stylish. It also sparks creativity; I discovered unexpected combinations that I wouldn’t have tried otherwise. If you enjoy expressing yourself through fashion and appreciate minimalist packing with maximum impact, I highly recommend giving the sudoku packing method a try for your next summer wardrobe or vacation.
