Clothes shopping 12 weeks postpartum

🛍️I’ve gone shopping many times since having my daughter. However, this was only the second piece of clothing I felt super comfortable in.

It’s so hard to adjust to my new body as a new mom.

I’m 5’7 and 180 pounds. I’m only down 20 pounds since having her and almost 3 months later I’m just now starting to get motivated to get back in shape. This dress was the only piece of clothing I just absolutely loved during this shopping trip, but I bought some looser t-shirts aswell. I normally hate any piece of clothing that clings so close to my neck but I loved this dress. I was pleasantly surprised at how it balanced my shape.

Before getting pregnant I weighed closer to 140, my goal is to lose at least 20 pounds (mostly in my belly) by my birthday in March. I feel like this is a more realistic goal considering I’m breastfeeding and I’m trying to quell the urge to eat everything in sight lol.

At 12 weeks postpartum, many women experience fluctuations in weight and body shape, which can impact their clothing preferences. One essential aspect of postpartum shopping is focusing on comfort while also looking stylish. Look for versatile pieces that can accommodate body changes, such as wrap dresses and loose-fitting tops, which flatter a variety of shapes. Breastfeeding can also influence your clothing choices, so opt for garments that allow easy access if you're nursing. Prioritizing breathable fabrics like cotton or blends can further enhance comfort. Pairing your outfits with stylish accessories can elevate your look without compromising on comfort. As you set goals for body positivity and fitness, remember that feeling good in your clothes is key to building confidence during your postpartum journey. Set realistic expectations for weight loss, especially as your body adjusts after pregnancy, and celebrate small victories, like finding that one perfect dress during your shopping trip.
