I’m just a girl 🫶
As someone who has embraced skincare as a form of self-love, I’ve found that achieving the glass skin look involves more than just using the right products—it’s about consistency and appreciating your unique skin needs. For POCs (people of color), the focus often is on enhancing natural radiance while preventing hyperpigmentation and dryness. I start my routine with a gentle cleanser to remove impurities without stripping my skin of its natural oils. One key tip I’ve learned is to incorporate hydrating toners and serums that contain ingredients like hyaluronic acid and niacinamide, which brighten and even out skin tone. Moisturizing daily is a must; I prefer lightweight but deeply nourishing creams that keep my skin supple without feeling heavy. Exfoliation is also important, but I keep it mild and infrequent to avoid irritation. Using sunscreen every day, even when indoors, protects my skin from UV damage that can cause dark spots and aging. The hashtags #glassskincare and #skincare really resonate with me because they represent a movement towards clear, glowing skin that feels healthy from within. Beyond products, a daily mantra of feeling thankful, grateful, and blessed—as captured in the image text—has helped me maintain a positive mindset about my skin and overall well-being. Embracing who I am, including being 'just a girl' who loves her skin, reminds me to be patient and kind to myself throughout the skincare journey. If you're like me and in pursuit of that dazzling glass skin glow, remember it’s about nurturing your skin with love and tailored care routines that honor your unique complexion. Sharing our experiences encourages others in the POC community to celebrate their beauty and feel confident every day.
