I know firsthand how difficult it is because my mom passed away from cancer almost three years ago. What helped me find a sense of peace amid the grief was taking care of her three dogs—Roman, Max, and Chelsea. Their unconditional love and companionship gave me a daily reason to smile and stay connected to her memory. I vividly remember when her husband considered putting the dogs in a shelter after she passed. Stepping up to care for them felt like an extension of my love for my mom and an important way to honor her. It taught me that grief isn’t just about mourning what’s lost but also about embracing new responsibilities that bring healing. Through this journey, I learned a lot about the therapeutic power of pets for those grieving. Dogs, in particular, provide routine, emotional support, and a sense of purpose. Their joyful presence can counterbalance sadness and remind us to live in the present moment. If you are struggling with loss, I encourage you to consider how animals might help you cope. Sharing my story and hashtags like #cancersucks, #imissyoumom, #dogmom, and #griefjourney reflects the deep connection between love, loss, and healing. Pets not only reflect our memories but also help create new ones as we navigate life after loss. I hope my experience inspires others to find comfort in small joys, even in the darkest times.

Where’s the other for baby? I only see two and just to be clear. Your father needs his head examined those dogs would grieve themselves to death in a shelter. If you could even find one take them they’ve been together forever wrapped in your mother’s love.
