Starting over ✨
After my two pregnancies, I've noticed my hair has gotten harder to maintain straight or smooth when doing a blowout.
At first I thought maybe it's just postpartum hair growth but then one day I decided to style my hair curly and omg...my curls were CURLING.
So I decided to get a haircut and I can't believe my curl pattern. I'm in love and am excited to see how my hair continues to look from now on.
This is a video of me getting the hair cut and then styling it myself the following day ✨
After experiencing changes in my hair texture following pregnancy, I realized that embracing my natural curls was the best way to feel confident and reduce damage from constant heat styling. Postpartum hair changes are common due to hormonal shifts, which can affect curl pattern and hair strength. When I first noticed difficulty in keeping my hair straight during blowouts, I experimented with wearing it curly and was pleasantly surprised by how my curls naturally flourished. Getting a haircut specifically tailored for curly hair made all the difference. It helped to refresh my curl pattern and remove damaged ends, allowing my hair to bounce back to life. I also learned that using the right products for curly hair—like sulfate-free shampoos, hydrating conditioners, and curl-enhancing gels—help maintain moisture and definition. Maintaining curly hair post-pregnancy involves patience and understanding. Avoiding excessive heat tools and embracing my natural texture not only improved my hair’s health but boosted my self-confidence during a time of many changes. For anyone navigating postpartum hair changes, consider a stylist experienced with curly hair to shape and revive your natural curls. This journey has been about starting over and loving my hair as it is, creating a new chapter of beauty and self-care.
