Family CHILI recipe 🌶️
Beans do not belong in chili!🫣
When making a chili without beans, focusing on the balance of spices and texture becomes even more important. From personal experience, using high-quality whole peeled tomatoes really enhances the depth of the sauce compared to using pureed or diced canned tomatoes. It’s also crucial to brown the ground meat thoroughly to develop more savoriness before adding the tomatoes. I often add a blend of chili powder, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder to perfectly season the meat mixture. Simmering the chili for several hours allows the flavors to meld beautifully, and I like to taste periodically to adjust the seasoning with salt, pepper, or more chili powder if needed. Throwing in whole fresh jalapeños adds a nice layer of heat that infuses the dish gently over time. For serving, I enjoy topping the chili with shredded cheese, sour cream, and chopped green onions. This combination creates a comforting meal that warms you up and satisfies deeply, especially on cold nights. This bean-free chili offers a rich and hearty alternative to traditional recipes, proving that sometimes less is more when it comes to ingredients. I highly recommend trying this method if you’re looking for a classic chili flavor without the usual beans!
