Hi #lemon8 family!!

This is the story of how I not only met someone from a different country but also how I eventually married him!!! He’s Jamaican born and raised, migrated to the US. I actually met him while on vacation and we instantly clicked!!! He would travel back and forth between South Carolina and New York only coming to Sc to work during the summers and back to New York in the winter…the summer we met he decided to stay in South Carolina (which is where I live but he was 5 hours away from me) instead of going back home to then New York. Long distance relationship for a while, endless FaceTimes and phone calls, traveling back and forth to see each other for a few months. The weekend of my birthday I came back to the beach in Sc where he was living to visit and ultimately, I thought, would be the last time because we had planned on him coming back to my hometown to live. Once there, the day after my birthday, he proposed to me….OF COURSE I SAID YES!!!! This man was everything I had been searching for. No offense to American men or any other ethnicity, but from my own personal experiences this Jamaican man was everything I had NOT found in my own country. We moved back to my hometown and planned our wedding.. he told me I can have whatever type of wedding I wanted in which I chose to get married on the beach because that’s where we met. Not only did we get married on the beach we also moved here and I absolutely am loving life. March will be our 1 year wedding anniversary ❤️❤️
