I’m a gym influencer until further notice.
Starting a fitness journey can feel overwhelming, especially when you're carrying extra weight or feeling unmotivated. I completely understand the struggle of going from 280 lbs and trying to find the discipline and focus to commit to the gym every day. What helped me was locking in mentally and ignoring distractions like music or outside noise—just focusing on the workout itself. It’s incredible how much you can achieve when you put your mind to it. Tracking progress is key. I discovered that counting reps helped me keep focused, even if at first I mixed up the counts or found certain muscles weaker on one side. It’s a normal part of growth and learning your body. Working out with someone—like my little brother cheering me on—creates accountability and makes the journey more enjoyable. This experience taught me that transformation is not just physical but mental. Every small improvement, like going from one rep to four with proper form or feeling stronger on the right side, is a victory. To anyone starting out, my advice is: embrace the grind, stay consistent, and don’t be discouraged by early setbacks. Your body will respond, and the weight will come down if you remain patient and focused. Everyone’s journey looks different, but sharing your honest progress—warts and all—can inspire others. That’s why I decided to become a gym influencer: not to show a perfect life but to show real determination and growth. I’m aiming to get down from 280 lbs to about 225 or 190 if I push myself. It’s a long road but one worth taking. If you’re thinking about starting, just know you’re not alone, and putting in that work will change how you feel, inside and out.
