I initially started reading this book as an E-Book and almost didn’t finish. I couldn’t stand how the letters between Iris and Roman were a completly different size. However, once I had a physical cope of the book in hand, I flew through this book. It really made all the difference.
The romance was so cute, and really lightened the book when the war scenes broke out. However, the side characters were also special and I was invested in those characters as well. Attie is a great and supportive friend to Iris. Marisol cares deeply about her wife and is a passionate person.
Overall, I’m excited to get started on the second book - Ruthless Vows. The cliffhanger at the end of Divine Rivals left me sad and I’m hoping for a happier ending for the second book.
