StoryGraph Update

So, I do have an upgraded StoryGraph account, and I’m not sure if this is on their free side (yet). I’m really enjoying seeing my reading data this way.

The first page just shows some of your top reads, top genres, and pages you read per day.

The calendar shows how long you read a book as well as giving a trophy for the day you read your most pages.

Then the cover/rating collage shows what you read. One has ratings, one doesn’t.

... Read moreAs a dedicated reader, I'm always looking for ways to track my literary adventures, and StoryGraph has truly become an invaluable tool for me, especially for diving deep into my reading statistics. Beyond just logging books, it offers such a rich array of data that helps me understand my habits in a way no other app has. When it comes to reading stats, the app provides incredibly detailed charts and screens. I love seeing my genre distribution – it's fascinating to watch how my reading shifts between fantasy, romance, thrillers, and even spiritual books throughout the year. For instance, if I'm on a fantasy binge, StoryGraph clearly shows me the percentage of my reading dedicated to that genre versus, say, a mystery series. This helps me identify patterns and even encourages me to diversify my reading if I feel I'm getting stuck in a rut. The OCR-identified stats like "highest-rated reads," "average book length," and "reading progress" are all presented beautifully on the dashboard, giving me a quick overview of my performance and preferences at a glance. It's so satisfying to see my reading progress compared to previous months, like the +10% books, +14% pages mentioned in the image! One of the features I didn't expect to love as much as I do is the reading calendar. It’s not just a pretty visual; it’s a powerful motivator. I can quickly see my daily reading activity, how many pages I've read, and even get a little 'trophy for the day I read my most pages'! This visual encouragement helps me stay consistent. Plus, the ability to create custom reading lists is a game-changer for challenges or managing my ever-growing TBR pile. Whether I’m curating a list for young adult novels I want to explore or grouping together thrillers for a specific mood, it keeps me organized and focused. The overall StoryGraph UI is clean and intuitive, making it easy to navigate through all these features. From the main dashboard that shows my top reads to the cover/rating collage that displays all the books I've completed with their star ratings (like 'Hell Bent' or 'The Alchemist' from the image), the design enhances the user experience rather than overwhelming it. It truly feels like a personal reading assistant. For anyone who loves not just reading, but also understanding their reading journey, StoryGraph offers an unparalleled depth of insight and convenience. It's more than just a tracker; it's a companion that helps you evaluate and enrich your reading life across all your favorite genres.

Why you should switch from Goodreads to StoryGraph
I tried for years to use Goodreads to track my books, but I was never consistent with it and not motivated to do it either. But then I tried StoryGraph and now I’m literally addicted to watching my stats changing and watch the bar progress as I log the pages I’ve read that day and to see what my fr
