💭 Thoughts:
Normally Sci-Fi is something I enjoy more in movies, but this book did it right. I loved the blooming relationship between Jay the missing person, and Aleeza the journalism student. I loved the magical realism, the mystery hitting dead ends and further investigating, I loved the commentary on both journalism being extractive and how racist micro aggressions happen in social situations. This book kept me up at night and I don’t regret it, I had a fun time reading it and I was really rooting for even the side characters.
