📚Synopsis:
Lazlo Strange is an orphan from war and working as a librarian, loves his books and dreams, and has an obsession with a mythical city. However, when he meets the Godslayer, he pleads to join the adventure to Weep. Leaving the library behind, he goes to achieve his dreams.
At the same time, the children of gods and goddesses are trying their best to maintain their life and stay safe. They too, are orphans of war. When they notice the Godslayer has returned to Weep, they decide to send out the moths to investigate.
💭Thoughts:
I loved the slower pace of this book, and it made the second half of the book feel so fast and consuming. It made me think about the questions of:
-how are our hero’s viewed by those they fought against.
-how chasing our dreams means we may have to do things that are uncomfortable.
-is being nice is enough, even if people question our motives
I loved the romances. The world building was excellent. I’m so excited to get the second book to finish reading this duology.
