*Easy* Turkey Chili
This is the ONLY chili I truly enjoy (probably because I grew up on this recipe). It’s super easy, stores great and tastes even better. I love meal prepping this because it makes a ton and it honestly tastes better after sitting for a day or two.
Personally, I prefer to use dark red kidney beans - but you can absolutely use whatever you’d like. You can also totally use whatever ground meat, I just like using ground turkey in-place of beef.
If you’re anything like me, I also recommend topping this with some shredded cheese (any Mexican blend is my favorite) and serving with a side of peanut butter crackers.

I’ve found that making this easy turkey chili recipe has become a staple in my weekly meal prep routine. What I love most is how flexible it is—using ground turkey keeps it lean and healthy, but you can substitute ground beef or even plant-based crumbles to suit your preferences. One tip I discovered is that browning the meat with a little water not only helps it cook evenly but also keeps it moist without adding extra oils. After adding in the kidney beans, tomato paste, and the French's Chili-O seasoning mix, the chili develops rich layers of flavor that deepen overnight. I usually add a pinch of sugar to balance the acidity of the tomato paste and a bit of onion powder for extra aroma, which makes all the difference. To serve, topping the chili with a Mexican blend of shredded cheese adds a creamy texture that complements the spiciness perfectly. Pairing it with peanut butter crackers as a side might sound unusual, but the slight nuttiness and crunch contrast wonderfully with the hearty chili. The recipe is very forgiving for those who want to customize it—swap kidney beans for black beans or pinto beans, or adjust the spice level by adding fresh jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce. Plus, it stores well in the fridge and freezes beautifully for later meals, making it ideal for busy days when you want a nutritious, comforting dish ready to go. If you’re looking for a simple, satisfying chili recipe that yields plenty and improves in taste over time, this turkey chili is a go-to. It’s perfect for anyone who loves easy meal prep and flavorful, wholesome food.
