COFFEE
I LOVE a good coffee, but recently started to change things up (for the better). I used to always add the flavored syrups that a full of sugar and honestly not the best for you. I was always left feeling jittery and then had a sugar crash. This made it so hard to get through the day (especially with a baby, job, and running our farm by myself). I really didn’t want to give up my coffee so I started to just leave out the flavored syrups.
I am telling you that made a WORLD of difference. If I am out I will get a plain latte with oat milk. If I’m home I will do a drip coffee or French press with a splash of whatever milk we have in the fridge at the time. I can still enjoy the flavor and the energy I get from my coffee without the added jitters and crash that used to follow.
Next time you order a coffee ask yourself what it is that you like about it. Is it the flavor of the coffee, the energy you get from it, or the sugar of your add ins?
