Officially down ONE HUNDRED POUNDS

Updated my weight loss tracker today and I can officially say I’ve lost 100 lbs. the picture of me holding my niece is a physical representation of the weight I’ve lost.

To answer a few questions: highest weight was 304, current weight is 203.4 with a total loss of 100.6 lbs. I gained over 100lbs due to fertility treatments and stress watching my husband almost die from liver disease. I had the duodenal switch 4/21/25. While some may see it as the easy way out I can assure you it’s not. Goal weight is 150. Next stop ONEderland. Here’s some photos of my journey over the last year. #duodenalswitch #weightlostjourney #100lbsclub #weightlosssurgery

Read moreLosing over 100 pounds is a monumental achievement, especially when it stems from deeply personal challenges like fertility treatments and supporting a loved one through a serious illness. Choosing the duodenal switch surgery in April 2025 was a pivotal decision that required both courage and a commitment to long-term health. While some might view weight loss surgery as a shortcut, the reality is far more complex. Recovery demands strict dietary changes, lifestyle adjustments, and mental resilience. In my experience, support from family and documenting progress with photos—like the one holding my niece—has been empowering and motivating. Watching the scale drop from 304 to just above 203 pounds reminded me daily that persistence pays off. The duodenal switch not only helped with substantial weight loss but also improved my overall well-being and energy levels, which was crucial for managing the stresses I was facing. For anyone considering weight loss surgery, be informed about the procedure and realistic about the effort needed after surgery. Nutritional balance and exercise remain key elements for sustaining weight loss. My next milestone is reaching my goal weight of 150 pounds, entering the coveted ONEderland. Joining communities like #duodenalswitch and #100lbsclub can provide encouragement and practical tips on this journey. Remember, every pound lost reflects not just physical change but emotional and mental growth too. Stay patient and celebrate every victory, big or small.
