Wish I could Stay From Work Longer Than A Week 🗓️
Ah my vacation is coming to an end. Of course it didn’t go completely as planned but I still had a good time away from work.
Especially since the position I been forced into seems like that is coming to an end soon too 🫣.
The first two days I went to the doctor & Dentist.
The doctor was pushing hard for me to get the Depo shot vs the pill. I don’t like shots so I said no. They only gave me one pack of pills I suppose since I told them no to the shot as I normally get three but I’ll figure that out later. With the dentist I felt violated with all the probing then they told me that they wanted to take all my teeth out 🙁. I just told them I’d think about it. Which I’m not doing that either.
I went to CAVA twice! 🥳 I love it. Both my bowls were amazing.
Picked up my packages from Amazon. Got some new weck cups for my coffee.
Then I went thrifting! I was truly blessed with my finds. I’ll probably make a post on my haul later.
Lastly went to a state park. Crazy enough it was hot as heck but no mosquitoes in site. An amazing time was had!
I’ll be on vacation in May so I’ll be able to go on additional adventures soon.

Taking a short break from work can feel like a quick recharge, but sometimes it leaves you wishing for more time to truly unwind. During my recent vacation, I experienced a mix of routine health appointments and exciting leisure activities that reminded me of the importance of self-care beyond just rest. Visiting the doctor and dentist right at the start was a bit stressful, especially when faced with unexpected medical suggestions and discomfort. The doctor encouraged switching contraceptive methods, recommending a Depo shot over pills, which I was hesitant about because I'm not a fan of injections. This highlights how personal preferences play a crucial role in healthcare decisions and why communicating openly with providers is essential. Similarly, the dental visit was tougher emotionally, with invasive probing and alarming advice about tooth removal. It was a stark reminder that taking time off work doesn't always mean a break from health challenges. On the brighter side, enjoying favorite meals at CAVA twice was a delightful treat. Finding joy in simple pleasures, like a well-prepared bowl of food, contributes significantly to a vacation's positive impact. Coupled with the excitement of unpacking new coffee cups and scoring amazing thrift finds, these moments created a balance between responsibility and joy. Spending time in a state park in unexpectedly hot weather but without mosquitoes was another highlight that made the trip feel special. Nature walks and outdoor adventures can be therapeutic, offering fresh air and physical activity that are vital for overall well-being. Planning another vacation in May gives something to look forward to, emphasizing how breaks from work, short or long, are essential for mental health and happiness. Learning to navigate health appointments, allow space for relaxation, and savor small victories can transform the way we experience time off work. This story serves as a genuine reflection of the ups and downs during a vacation, encouraging others to cherish their own moments away from daily routines.

What should I do on my next vacation??
