... Read moreIt's a question I've found myself asking lately: "Are Vans still in style?" With so many new sneaker trends popping up, sometimes it feels like the classics get left behind. But after stumbling upon a pair of these iconic Vans at Marshalls for just $35 – a total steal, by the way! – I had to revisit my thoughts. And honestly? I'm convinced they absolutely are. For me, Vans have always represented a certain effortless cool. They're not trying too hard, and that's precisely their appeal. Growing up, they were synonymous with skate culture, music, and an overall laid-back attitude. What's amazing is how they've managed to transcend those specific niches and become a mainstream fashion staple without losing their authentic edge. When I look down at my feet, seeing those familiar light-colored sneakers with crisp white laces, I still feel that same sense of reliable style. So, "do people still wear Vans?" Absolutely, and in more ways than ever! You see them everywhere, from high school hallways to city streets, on people of all ages. What makes them so enduring is their incredible versatility. You can literally pair them with anything. Take, for instance, a classic look: I often find myself slipping them on with a pair of comfortable light blue jeans, just like in that picture. It's a simple, timeless combination that always works. But they're equally chic with chinos, shorts, or even a casual sundress for a relaxed, urban vibe. The key is their classic design – it's understated enough not to overwhelm an outfit but distinctive enough to add character. Beyond style, let's talk practicality. Vans are known for being comfortable and durable, which is a huge plus in my book. As someone who's always on the go, I need shoes that can keep up without sacrificing comfort or falling apart after a few wears. My new pair, even at that amazing Marshalls price, feels solid and well-made. They're perfect for running errands, meeting friends for coffee, or just enjoying a casual day out. One of the reasons I think Vans continue to thrive is their ability to adapt to current trends while staying true to their roots. While the classic black and white checkerboard or solid colors remain popular, they also release new patterns and collaborations that keep things fresh. But honestly, for me, the beauty is in the original models – the Old Skool, Sk8-Hi, and Authentic. These are the shapes that have stood the test of time and continue to be relevant because they're foundational pieces in any casual wardrobe. Ultimately, fashion is so personal. If you love a shoe, wear it with confidence! But if you're on the fence and wondering if investing in a pair of Vans is still a good idea, especially if you find them at a great price like I did, I'd say go for it. They're more than just a trend; they're a cultural icon that continues to prove its worth in the ever-evolving world of style. I'm definitely still rocking mine, and I encourage you to, too!

No. I have wide feet and I feel like they’re too narrow for me. I also don’t think they’re the best quality anymore. Those tan ones are cute though!
