I’m just a girl wanting to get closer to God 🫶✨

Did anybody else get on their spiritual journey this year ? I started mine in March / April. I just woke up and felt different, like it was time for a change 💕

It was like a quiet whisper saying, 'Hey, it's time for a change, something deeper.' For me, embarking on this spiritual journey wasn't about suddenly becoming someone else, but more about rediscovering my true self and finding a deeper connection to something greater than myself. It’s about intentionally seeking meaning, purpose, and peace in my everyday life. Initially, I wasn't even sure where to start. The idea of 'integrating the spiritual journey into daily living' felt a bit overwhelming. But I realized it's not about grand gestures; it's about small, consistent steps. One of the first things that truly helped me was finding a devotional that resonated. I remember seeing a page, perhaps like the one titled 'Whatever Happens' for November 30th, which talked about managing emotions through faith. That really hit home. Life throws so much at us, and before, I often felt overwhelmed by anxiety or frustration. Learning to truly rely on a higher power in those moments, rather than trying to control everything myself, was a game-changer. My mornings became a sacred time. Instead of immediately grabbing my phone, I started with a quiet moment of reflection, reading a passage from my devotional book, and simply being still. This small practice helped me to center myself and start the day with intention. It taught me that finding peace amidst turmoil isn't about avoiding challenges, but about how you face them. The idea of 'finding peace amidst turmoil' became a guiding principle. It's about trusting that even when things feel chaotic, there's an underlying calm available through faith. A verse that really stuck with me, similar to how Philippians 1:27 might resonate with others, was about being steadfast. It reminded me that this journey isn't always smooth sailing, but perseverance in faith is key. It's about knowing that even when life gets tough, you're not alone. This journey isn't just about personal growth; it's also about understanding our place in the world and how we can contribute positively. Integrating spirituality into daily life looks different for everyone. For me, it's about practicing gratitude, being present in conversations, extending kindness, and remembering to pause and breathe when I feel overwhelmed. It's about recognizing the divine in the mundane. It’s about building a consistent relationship with faith, much like you would nurture any important relationship. It’s comforting to know that so many others are also embarking on this journey, seeking deeper meaning and a more fulfilling way of living. It truly is a path of continuous discovery and profound personal change.
