Areas in my Apartment I LOVE🪴✨🫶

Hey guys! 💖

Welcome to an inside look at my small, cozy one bedroom apartment!🏡

My boyfriend and I moved in about four months ago, and for a while our place was very much in its Halloween and Christmas era 🎃🎄. Now that the holidays are over, I’m so excited to finally make our apartment feel like us—our personalities, our everyday life, and all the little things we love.

I am definitely not following the beige apartment trend 😅 I love color, character, and spaces that feel lived-in. I’m slowly leaning into beachy bohemian vibes, which honestly fits my personality so well🐚☀️. Most of our apartment was decorated through a lot of thrift store trips. It is nowhere near finished and still has plenty of work to be done—but these are a few spaces I’ve been especially loving lately ✨

🍒Our Fridge

I wanted our home to showcase our memories, and our fridge does exactly that. It’s covered in photos, souvenirs, and little mementos from trips and fun moments in our lives. It makes me smile every time I walk into the kitchen 💕

🌸 Kitchen Island

I absolutely love the decor here—it’s bright, colorful, and so fun. The flowers from Trader Joe’s might genuinely be the best $7 I’ve ever spent, and everything else is thrifted from Goodwill. Proof that you don’t need to spend a lot to make a space feel happy ✨

🌿 Bedroom Window

This is my little plant nursery corner 🪴 Right now it’s just boxes of dirt, but I’m hoping they turn into beautiful flowers that I can move out onto the balcony this spring.

I also have a turtle dreamcatcher I picked up in Hilton Head that really pulls the space together, and my shell lamp—an amazing Goodwill find! I still need to find the perfect lampshade for it, but I love it so much already.

🖼️ Bedside

On the other side of the bed, I have a small gallery wall that I love. Every piece holds a memory, which makes the space feel so personal. We also keep our humidifier here, which instantly makes the room feel extra cozy and relaxing 🌙

📌 My Bulletin Board

This board is filled with things that are so special to me. I love all the color, and it genuinely makes me happy every time I look at it. It’s one of those small details that makes our apartment feel like home 💕✨

🪑 The Nook

This spot is still a bit of a work in progress. I wasn’t really sure what I wanted to do here, and honestly, it might change again. For now, I have a chair and a faux plant, and it works as a nice filler space. I also love our second bulletin board here, filled with even more memories 🥰

🛁 My Bathroom

This bathroom is so bright and cheery—it’s honestly the nicest bathroom I’ve ever had in my life 😭✨ All of the decor in here is thrifted, and it’s such a refreshing, happy space to start and end my day.

🛋️ The Living Room

I don’t love our couch, but I think I’ve made it work in the best way possible. I’m obsessed with our coffee table, all of the plants, and the shell wall hanging I made myself (I plan on adding more shells eventually). It’s the perfect place to unwind after a long day 🌊🕯️

❓ This Space (Help Me!)

Okay, I need your help with this one 😅 I like this space, but it definitely needs something. I think furnishing the balcony in the spring will help bring in more color, but for now I’m stuck.

We have a snake plant that I could move over here—do you think that would be too much? We also desperately need something for the wall. And the shelves… should we keep them minimal or add decor? A new lamp that fits our vibe more? Tell me your thoughts because I am OPEN to ideas 💭✨

I have SO much more of our apartment I would LOVE to share; our entry way, our closet, our plant corner, our shower, etc. I would also love to do some sort of organization/minimal series on this page. In the spring I plan to do a balcony transformation to a bohemian oasis. 🌿🪴 Soooo STAY TUNED 🫶✨🥰

... Read moreDecorating a small apartment like mine has been such a personal journey, especially since I really wanted to break away from the typical neutral, beige trends and go for something that truly reflects us. Thrifting has been a game changer—I love hunting for unique pieces that add character and tell a story. For example, my shell lamp and the turtle dreamcatcher really make the bedroom feel special and connect to those beachy vibes I adore. One of the coolest things about decorating is how it brings memories into our daily environment. Having photos and souvenirs on the fridge isn’t just decorative—it’s like a mini gallery of our best moments, and seeing it brightens my day. I find that incorporating meaningful items into a space creates a warmth and personal connection that flat, store-bought decor just can’t match. Creating a plant nook by the bedroom window has been such a rewarding hobby. Starting with just boxes of dirt now, I’m excited each day imagining which flowers will blossom and eventually get moved out to the balcony for a full bohemian oasis effect in spring. Plants truly bring life and vibrancy to any space, even when they’re small and just beginning. When it comes to spaces like the nook I’m still figuring out, I’ve learned to stay open and flexible. Sometimes a room or corner evolves slowly, and that’s part of the fun. I’m thinking about moving the snake plant there and adding more colorful elements or a new lamp to better fit the vibe—minimal or decorated shelves are on my mind too. Getting feedback from friends and followers is great because it sparks new ideas and helps me break through the indecision. Finally, I can’t stress enough how much a cozy, happy bathroom can improve your daily routine. Even though all my decor is thrifted, the bright and refreshing feel it has makes it the nicest bathroom I’ve ever had. Small changes like a humidifier by the bedside also make the bedroom cozy and relaxing. Overall, making this apartment feel like home has been about layering colors, memories, and textures that reflect our lifestyle and personalities. For anyone looking to personalize their space without a big budget, I highly recommend embracing thrifting, incorporating plants, and focusing on little meaningful details that make your home truly yours.
