If you haven’t watched my homemade shampoo for hair growth, go check it out for the full ingredient list 🦋✨
After making it, I let it sit for at least 15 days so all the natural ingredients can fully infuse into the shampoo. As you can see in the photo, everything has already been absorbed so before using it, make sure to strain it. At this point, you don’t need the actual ingredients anymore, just the goodness they left behind.
Now your shampoo is ready 💫
Use a small amount (a handful), massage it into your scalp for at least 5 minutes so it can really penetrate, then let it sit for up to 20 minutes or less. Rinse it out, then follow with your regular shampoo and a deep conditioner.
Use it twice a week for best results. With consistency, you’ll start noticing a difference in about 3–4 weeks and let’s be real, it’s not overnight growth, but you will see healthier hair and less shedding ✨
... Read moreFrom my personal experience, making and using a fully infused homemade shampoo has been a game-changer for my hair care routine. The key is patience—letting the shampoo sit for at least 15 days allows all the natural ingredients to blend deeply, maximizing their benefits. When I first started, I was curious about how long I should leave the shampoo on my scalp during each wash. I found that massaging it in for about 5 minutes really helps stimulate the scalp and enhances absorption, and then leaving it on for up to 20 minutes (but not longer) lets the nutrients work their magic without causing any scalp irritation.
Consistency is truly essential. I used the shampoo twice a week and noticed my hair started feeling stronger and shedding less after a few weeks. It’s important to follow up with a gentle regular shampoo and a nourishing deep conditioner to lock in moisture and keep hair healthy.
Also, straining the shampoo before using it is crucial—this removes any leftover bits of the natural ingredients, so your hair gets only the infused goodness. This step not only ensures a smooth application but also prevents buildup that might weigh your hair down.
I also experimented with different natural infusion ingredients based on what my hair needed: some days focusing on moisturizing elements, others on growth-promoting ones. Everyone’s hair is unique, so adjusting the blend to your hair type and concerns can lead to even better results.
Incorporating these steps made me realize that homemade hair care can be both affordable and effective, aligning well with a natural beauty lifestyle. If you’re willing to commit to this routine patiently, your hair can experience noticeable revitalization and become healthier over time.
