How to stay on top of reading your Bible

Here are some of the top tips I use to make sure I’m reading my Bible every day. I’m not perfect, there are days that my Bible goes untouched. But I do love and cherish my time in the word and this is how I got to this point.

🤍 Pray for a desire to read The Word of God

~ Ask God to work in your heart and give you excitement and eagerness to read the Bible. He truly answers prayers and already wants you to have a desire to read His word. Ask Him for wisdom as you read so you will be encouraged to come back and continue reading.

🤍 Listen along with an audio Bible

~ I use Bible.is, this is a good way to get through a book fast and then you can always go back and digest it a second time around.

🤍 Journal what God is teaching you

~ Journaling is an easy way to keep track of what you are learning and help process what you read. This doesn’t have to be pretty or done in any special way. Just write in whatever way works for you and then you will have a diary to look back on of how you’ve grown with God.

🤍 Get a study Bible or a good commentary

~ We won’t want to read something we don’t understand so a good commentary will help us digest the informative we read. I use the moody Bible institute commentary and have found that it gives me a much deeper understanding of the passages I read.

🌸✝️Bible reading does not have to look aesthetic, just pray and spend time learning from God✝️🌸
