Reviewing Cider Products >>

Hey everyone! So, back in March, I completed the Lemon8box challenge. That was the second box challenge that I have completed during my time on Lemon8. So, I figured I’d rate the products I ordered with the $25 Cider gift card I received from Lemon8.

Swimsuit: 9/10

Being a girl with a bigger chest, I always have issues finding a swim top that is right for me. I was trying to find a swimsuit on sale that wasn’t so showy, and this one I was hesitant about buying. But this top makes my girls look so good. It shows just the amount I like and it is so perfect. The bottoms, however, are where I have to take off a point. These bottoms are pretty see through. Thankfully, I have plenty of bottoms to swap out with. But if you’re a girl with a bigger chest, I highly recommend this swimsuit!

Socks: 3/10

These socks are not for me. First off, let’s talk about size. I am a girl who also has large feet. For reference, I am 5’5 and I wear size 10 shoes. These socks did not fit my feet the way I wanted them to. Second, let’s talk design. These socks are laced up and they’re supposed to be tied in the back with the long ribbon. But, where the ribbon holes are, they look to be stretched out holes, like someone stretched them to make holes. I did check to make sure it wasn’t just from my large feet and they are just designed like that I guess. I feel like maybe the designer(s) should have maybe put some eyelets for the ribbon to go through. Lastly, these socks just aren’t my style. I did give it a few point as I might’ve liked them if my feet were a bit smaller.

Claw Clip: 5/10

I have not tried the claw clip yet, but it is super cute. I did get it however as I am headed to college soon and need all the hair accessories I can get.

Initial Necklace: 8/10

I also have not worn the necklace yet, but I have very hopeful thoughts as this necklace looks super cute!

Freebies: 5/10

I guess my whole order was free, but the things that I received that I did not order were a tape measure and stickers. The tape measure is super cute, but unfortunately the plastic part on the end of the tape immediately fell off when I took it out of the package. So now I have to manually put the tape back in the hole versus just retracting it with the button on the back. The stickers, however are super cute and I already put one on my laptop!

Overall, I would shop from Cider again, especially if I received another gift card. I hope that you enjoyed my rating and you consider shopping at Cider and participating in the July lemon8box challenge! Ciao!

... Read moreAfter my recent Lemon8box challenge haul from Cider, I wanted to share a bit more about my overall experience shopping with them, especially for those looking for affordable women's clothing. Beyond the specific items I reviewed, like that surprisingly great swimsuit and the not-so-great socks, I’ve found that navigating Cider's extensive collection requires a few tips to make sure you get the best value. First off, let's talk about finding the right fit. As I mentioned with my socks, sizing can be a bit hit or miss. For reference, I'm usually a US size 10 in shoes, and some items definitely run smaller than expected. My general advice for Cider is to always check the size chart and read customer reviews for specific items. Many users share vital information about whether a piece runs true to size, large, or small. For example, my swimsuit was a fantastic fit, but I’ve heard from others that some Cider swimwear can be less forgiving. If you’re unsure, opting for one size up, especially for non-stretchy items, can sometimes be a safer bet. Another common query I see is about the Cider fashion app. Yes, they do have one! I often browse their collections directly through the app, and it’s generally user-friendly. It’s a great way to discover new arrivals and track your orders. Sometimes, they even offer app-exclusive discounts, which is a nice bonus when you’re hunting for affordable fashion. Shopping on shopcider.com or the app is pretty straightforward, but keeping an eye on their sales and promotions is key to maximizing your savings. When it comes to swimwear, I was genuinely impressed with my black two-piece swimsuit. It offers great support, especially for those of us with a bigger chest, which can be a struggle to find in affordable brands. If you're wondering, 'Are Cider swimsuits good?' – based on my experience, many of them are! Just be mindful of the material quality; as I noted, some bottoms can be a bit sheer. Always look at the fabric composition and customer photos if available. They offer a huge variety, from bikinis to one-pieces, so there's usually something for everyone's style. Don't be afraid to mix and match sizes if you have different proportions for tops and bottoms. Beyond swimwear, I’ve found Cider to be a go-to for trendy, seasonal pieces. While my initial necklace and claw clip were cute, and the freebie stickers were a fun addition, their strength truly lies in their clothing lines. From casual everyday wear to more dressed-up options, they often nail current trends at budget-friendly prices. However, it's a fast-fashion brand, so managing expectations on longevity is important. Overall, my takeaway after reviewing Cider products is that it's a fantastic option for experimenting with new styles without breaking the bank. Just be a savvy shopper: use the size guides, read reviews, and take advantage of their app for deals. It's a brand I'd definitely shop from again, especially if another Lemon8 gift card comes my way!
