Pineapple update
One of the original has started showing some roots & I started a new one also 🤷🏽♀️🤣
Planting pineapples at home can be a rewarding experience, especially when you start seeing signs of growth like the development of roots. From my experience, once you notice roots starting to emerge, it indicates that the plant is establishing itself well and getting ready for further growth. Using pineapple crowns or slips is a popular way to propagate pineapples. It's important to allow the base of the pineapple top to dry for a few days before planting to prevent rotting. Then, plant it in well-draining soil, and keep it moderately moist but not waterlogged. One interesting observation I've had is that starting multiple plants at once can increase your chances of success. While some may take longer to root, others may surprise you with rapid development. Additionally, providing a warm, sunny spot—ideally with temperatures between 65 and 95 degrees Fahrenheit—can encourage faster root growth. Incorporating hashtags like #plants, #planting, and #pineapple can guide you to communities where people share their own growing journeys, tips, and troubleshooting advice that can be incredibly helpful. Remember, patience is key. Pineapples can take from 18 months up to 2 years to mature fully and bear fruit, but watching your plants develop roots and new growth along the way is truly satisfying. Sharing these progress updates helps inspire others to start their own garden adventures and exchange useful cultivation techniques.
