✨ Healing from Trauma Series

Day 2: God Is Near in the Aftermath

📖 Psalm 34:18

hi angels🪽

healing isn’t linear.

some days feel strong.

some days feel tender.

but God stays close to the brokenhearted.

if you still feel affected by what happened, you’re not weak.

you’re human. And you’re healing.

journal prompt:

where do I still feel fragile?

let God meet you there 🤍

... Read moreHealing from trauma is a deeply personal and often unpredictable journey. From my own experience, I've found that embracing the reality that healing isn’t linear has been both liberating and comforting. Some days, I wake up feeling resilient and hopeful, while others bring vulnerability and tenderness. What has helped me immensely is acknowledging these fluctuations without judgment. Connecting with Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit," provides a profound source of solace. It reminds me that in moments of fragility, I am not alone—there is divine comfort and companionship. When I journal about where I still feel fragile, it opens a space within me to be gentle and patient with myself. In practice, I've learned to invite God into my broken places rather than trying to push through pain on my own. This spiritual connection acts like a balm to my wounds, offering reassurance that healing is both a journey and a process guided by compassion, not perfection. For anyone walking this path, I encourage finding ways to gently explore areas of hurt through journaling or meditation, and to be open to receiving support in many forms—whether through faith, community, or creativity. Remember, feeling affected by past trauma isn’t a sign of weakness but a part of being human and healing.
