July Reads 📖
36. Last Rites by Ozzy Osbourne
One things for sure…Ozzy is a crazy mfer. I love Black Sabbath and have always lived Ozzy Osbourne. So this ready, although it took me a while, was a good one. In his last memoir Ozzy really nails down key moments in his life and has some insightful views on his past doings. There was and will never anyone quite like the Prince of Darkness.
37. Fever Dream by Elsie Silver
I will always be an Elsie Silver girl. She knows the way to my heart. And it’s through rough around the edges bull riders haha. Love love love Julia. So glad we finally got to see her in her own light. And Emmett too!! Can’t wait to see what trouble his siblings get up to.

Reading has always been my personal escape, and this July’s selection of books truly hit the mark for me. I found Ozzy Osbourne’s "Last Rites" to be more than just a memoir; it’s an intense dive into the life of a rock icon who’s lived through wild times yet reflects with surprising clarity. His candid storytelling about his past, especially his unique perspective on the rock ‘n’ roll lifestyle, reminded me how some legends shape their own narratives. Meanwhile, Elsie Silver’s "Fever Dream" felt like an emotional journey. Her portrayal of Julia, a woman who falls hard for the rugged bull rider Emmett, pulled me in with its rough-around-the-edges charm and authentic characters. What resonated most was Silver’s ability to present these flawed yet relatable characters who struggle with love and family dynamics. It made me look forward to the next books in the series to follow the siblings’ adventures. These two very different genres—rock memoir and contemporary romance—offer a great balance for any reader looking to expand their bookshelf. Whether you're a fan of heavy metal history or heartfelt romance wrapped in cowboy grit, these reads deliver. They remind me that powerful storytelling can come from the most unexpected places, blending raw honesty with creative flair. If you’re aiming to meet your own reading goals or simply want fresh recommendations, these picks deserve a spot on your list. Embracing such diverse voices and themes keeps my reading experience vibrant and constantly surprising.
