I’m not even in pain, just hungry fam
Having gone through the experience of getting all four wisdom teeth removed, I can say it’s a mix of relief and some unexpected challenges. Although I wasn’t in much pain, the hunger was quite difficult to manage since you’re limited to soft foods that won’t irritate the surgical sites. For me, smoothies were a go-to, but they quickly became boring and sometimes didn’t sit well, probably because of the cold or ingredients. One important tip I learned is to keep hydrated but avoid straws since the suction can dislodge blood clots and delay healing. Sticking to room temperature or slightly cool soft foods like yogurt, applesauce, or mashed potatoes helped keep my energy up. Also, resting with your head elevated reduces swelling and promotes faster recovery. It’s good to maintain good oral hygiene, but gently rinse your mouth with warm salt water instead of brushing near the wounds during the first few days. This helps prevent infection without disturbing the healing areas. Despite the initial difficulties, the recovery gets easier day by day, and soon you can return to normal eating habits. Overall, while wisdom teeth removal might sound daunting, knowing what to expect and how to take care of yourself post-operation makes a big difference. Don’t hesitate to prepare some nutritious, soft foods in advance and take time off to rest well. Your body will thank you as it heals!
