Weight loss journey on Lemon8
Sorry very messy but I wanted to share this with like…the 3 people reading this. But I I weighed at my heaviest 184, recorded my weight at 179 and now I’m at 166! I feel so much more comfortable with activities like running and exercising. But what really pulled it together was my diet. I tried vegan for a week but it was HARD‼️ ( I used to be vegan) so I changed to pescatarian 🙂 and so far so good!! I’ll keep everyone (myself) updated when I hit 150??? Let’s hope 😊😊
Hey everyone! Seeing Harmony's amazing progress from 179 lbs to 166 lbs in just two months got me thinking about my own journey and what really helped me shed those pounds. When I first started, I was so focused on the number on the scale, just like Harmony mentioned seeing '166.0 LB' on hers. But I quickly learned that it’s about so much more than just how many pounds you lose; it's about sustainable habits and understanding your body. One of the biggest game-changers for me, similar to Harmony's experience with diet, was really tuning into what I was eating. She switched to pescatarian, which is fantastic for incorporating lean protein and healthy fats! For anyone looking to make a similar shift, I found that meal prepping was a lifesaver. Planning out my week's meals on a Sunday meant I always had healthy, delicious options ready, preventing those impulsive, less-healthy choices. Think about incorporating things like baked salmon with roasted veggies, shrimp stir-fries, or even delicious tuna salads packed with fresh greens. These kinds of meals helped me feel full and energized without feeling deprived. Beyond diet, movement became my friend. Harmony mentioned feeling more comfortable with running and exercising, and that's exactly how I felt! You don't need to be a marathon runner to start. I began with brisk walks, gradually increasing my pace and distance. Then I added some simple bodyweight exercises at home – squats, lunges, push-ups. The key is consistency, even if it's just 30 minutes a day. Finding an activity you genuinely enjoy, whether it's dancing, cycling, or swimming, makes it so much easier to stick with. As Harmony progressed, she probably felt that increased energy and comfort, which is such a powerful motivator! It’s also super important to track your progress in ways other than just the scale. While seeing that '166.0 LB' is incredibly rewarding, remember to celebrate non-scale victories. Are your clothes fitting better? Do you have more energy? Are you sleeping sounder? Take progress photos, just like the image showing the start of Harmony's 'WEIGHT LOSS JOURNEY ON LEMON8' at 179 lbs and then her current self. These visual reminders can be incredibly motivating on days when the scale isn't moving as fast as you'd like. Remember, weight fluctuates, and consistency over perfection is what truly leads to lasting results. Keep going, and you’ll definitely hit those personal goals, just like Harmony aiming for 150!
