ZARAHOME Haul KEEP or RETURN
Ask me why my ZaraHome rating is so LOW 👀
Honestly… 80% of what I ordered went straight back. The quality did not match the price and I was really disappointed.
But I still found a few gems 👇🏽✨
Here’s my full KEEP or RETURN haul with honest ratings, real textures, and no gatekeeping.

So, you've seen my Zara Home 'keep or return' journey, and it definitely had its ups and downs! If you're planning your own Zara Home haul, here are some extra tips I've picked up to help you find those hidden gems and avoid disappointment. First off, managing expectations is key. Zara Home excels at trends and aesthetics, but sometimes the quality can be a bit hit or miss, especially compared to the price point. Before hitting 'checkout' or heading to the store, take a moment to consider what you're really looking for. Is it a statement piece, or something functional for everyday use? When your haul arrives, or you're browsing in person, really scrutinize the items. For things like vases – if you're eyeing a dark brown textured ceramic vase, a grey ceramic vase, an irregular white ceramic vase, or even a small, round terracotta vase – feel the weight. Does it feel substantial? Check the finish for imperfections. Sometimes, a rustic look is intentional, like with the beautiful textured ceramic pieces, but sometimes it just looks unfinished. For more delicate materials like a papier-mâché vase, consider its durability over time. Will it hold up to light cleaning or accidental bumps? Baskets are another popular Zara Home item. I saw quite a few woven seagrass baskets in my haul. When you're looking at them, check for loose weaves, uneven edges, or if the material feels brittle rather than sturdy. A good quality basket should feel robust and well-constructed, especially if you plan to use it for storage rather than just decorative purposes. Are the handles secure? My personal 'keep or return' process usually involves three steps: First Impression & Aesthetic Fit: Does it look as good in person as it did online? Does it genuinely fit my home's aesthetic, or was I just drawn to the pretty picture? Quality Check: This is where I go hands-on. I feel the material, check for stability, examine seams or finishes, and decide if the price justifies the quality. For example, my grey ceramic vase was an absolute 10/10 keeper because the texture, weight, and finish were impeccable for its price. On the other hand, some items, like the light-colored papier-mâché vase or the large woven seagrass basket, just didn't meet my quality expectations, even if they looked good initially. Functionality & Need: Do I actually need this item, and will it serve its purpose well? A beautiful item that just sits there gathering dust might not be a 'keep' unless it sparks immense joy or fills a specific decorative void. And for the items you do keep, thinking about styling can make all the difference. That irregular white ceramic vase you love? Try pairing it with natural dried flowers or a single sculptural branch to highlight its unique shape. A classic dark brown textured ceramic vase can anchor a console table or add warmth to a shelf. Don't be afraid to mix and match your Zara Home finds with pieces from other stores to create a truly unique and personal look. Ultimately, a successful haul is one where you're left with pieces you genuinely love and that enhance your living space, even if it means sending a few things back first!
