Hey friends! 🌟

I wanted to share a bit of my story with you. Living for others and seeking their validation took a toll on my mental health, leading me down a path of depression that manifested in unexpected ways.

I allowed people to bully me without speaking up because I didn’t have the confidence in myself to do so. I witnessed my body and mind shutting down as I began to dissociate, resulting in substantial weight loss during times when self-care became a challenge. Depression had me in its grip, but acknowledging the issue was the first step towards healing.

My turning point began when I recognized the impact of depression in my life and that I no longer cared for myself like I used to. That revelation became the catalyst for my self-love journey. It hasn’t been easy, and there were moments of darkness, but I’ve committed to embracing self-love with open arms. Now, every day is a step forward on this journey. I’m prioritizing self-love, rediscovering who I am, and celebrating the small victories along the way.

I share my story not to be stuck in sadness but to be a guiding light of hope. If you’re navigating your own journey, I want you to know you’re not alone.

I know the feeling, especially coming from a family who is toxic and manipulative. I’m a full people pleaser and never end up doing anything for myself or putting myself first.
