📍Location: Pittsburgh

Easy Jambalaya 🥰

Veggies 🥗|||

🥕1 large carrot

🫑2 bell peppers red and orange

🧅Half a white onion , and a green onion

🌶️1 jalapeno

🧄4 garlic cloves

🍅1 tomato

2 Celery stocks

2tbs tomato paste

Meats 🍖|||

Kielbasa / other sausage

🍗 Chicken

You can add ham

&shrimp 🍤

I cut up my keilbasa and added olive oil cooked it first , then I cooked my chicken in the same pan with keilbasa set aside . I added Jamaican seasoning most ppl use Cajun… I used this seasoning through this dish , Salt and black pepper also

. If you can’t tell if your cut up chicken is cooked all the way you can press on it with a fork or spatula and if it goes all the way through it’s done, but if it’s rubbery and bounces back it’s NOT !

I set both meats aside and then add my diced vegetables and sauté them in the same pan I cooked the meat in.

Iseasoned with salt and black pepper , and a bit of Jamaican seasoning till soft I added 4 cups of water and 2 chicken boy-on cubes. And let it come to a boil. I then added jasmine rice.

🍚 Let the rice absorb all the water then add in your meats , If you need to add more water add it in small amounts and let your dish simmer until rice is completely cooked.

I then added left over green onion and sprinkled it on top for presentation
