My Husband's Wife
Another book review and reading 📚 journal entry:
This book had me confused at first — not in a bad way, but in that “wait… what is really going on here?” kind of way. Even while I was trying to piece things together, I was completely hooked. I had to know the truth about Eden Fox and the woman claiming to be Eden Fox. That mystery alone kept me turning pages.
And then there’s Birdy… whew. The secrets in this book were everywhere. Birdy, Carter, and Harrison all had things they were hiding, and just when I thought I understood the situation, another layer would be revealed. I honestly felt like a detective while reading — I had to make notes just to keep track of all the clues and connections.
The revenge plot involving Birdy, Harrison, and Mary shocked me. That twist? WILD. Just when you think you have it figured out, Alice Feeney flips everything upside down.
This is my third book by Alice Feeney, and at this point I can confidently say I’m a fan. She really knows how to write suspense, secrets, and twists that make you question everything.
⭐️ A mind-bending, twisty read that keeps you guessing the whole way through. I highly recommend 👌🏾👏🏾 ☺️
Reading 'My Husband's Wife' felt like embarking on a personal detective journey where every chapter unveiled new layers of mystery and intrigue. The interplay between characters such as Eden Fox, Birdy, Harrison, and Mary is masterfully woven, making it impossible to predict what comes next. What truly stood out for me was how the story explores trust and identity in deeply unsettling ways. The plot twist involving the revenge plan shocked me beyond expectations and reminded me why suspense novels should challenge your assumptions. Moreover, the setting plays a crucial role in enhancing the eerie atmosphere. The dry-glass house inherited by Birdy and the mysterious London clinic capable of predicting someone's wife add rich texture to the story, anchoring the suspense in tangible places that heighten the emotional stakes. I appreciated how Alice Feeney crafted multi-dimensional characters, each hiding secrets that push the narrative forward while keeping readers guessing. For those who enjoy complex psychological thrillers, this book offers more than just plot twists—it provokes thought about reality and perception. Keeping notes while reading helped me piece together the intricate clues and deepened my engagement. If you're a fan of unpredictable twists and layered storytelling, 'My Husband's Wife' is an unforgettable read that challenges your perspective until the very end.
