Our TTC Journey 👶🏽✨
I am opening up to the Lemon8 community in sharing me and my husband’s TTC journey. I hope my resources and my experiences will help anyone seeking some more insight & inspiration in their TTC journey.
Here is a little background: I have 2 children with an ex, my husband has 1 child with his ex. We have been married for almost 3 years (anniversary in May 🤍). For the longest, I was very set on not having anymore children. Fast forward to July 2024, we decided that we wanted a child with each other. My thoughts on having another child changed as I saw how wonderfully amazing and present my husband is with my children and he is an incredible father! So July I got my Nexplanon removed (which I had been on for 12 years!) and found out a month later we got pregnant!
**TW** Fast forward to November, we unfortunately lost our precious baby. Come to find out I had cervix insufficiency, causing me to go into very premature labor.
After processing our emotions, me and hubby decided we wanted to try again.
Here is my timeline of my TTC journey and how I’m preparing my body for another pregnancy.
November 2024:
With the loss I had to undergo the D&C Procedure, had bleeding for that week. Then what I thought was my period came back 2 weeks after procedure then followed by very light spotting on & off.
December 2024:
Very light spotting on & off continued. When period was suppose to be due according to my app, it did not come. In my research, I believe my body was still recovering from the loss and experiencing hormonal imbalances. I decided to take a supplement, Ovarian Complex, to help regulate my period.
January 2025:
My period is now regulated at this point. After finishing my 30 day supply of Ovarian Complex, I switched to Prenatals & Choline. I started tracking fertility with ovulation strips. I thought I did everything right, but ended with a BFN test.
February 2025:
I continued my supplements and tracking ovulation. Hubby was away for a month for work, so I really took this time to understand my body and do my research with ovulation tracking.
March 2025:
I now had a better understanding of my body by recognizing how my body feels during my ovulation window and when an egg is potentially being released. I also had a much better grasp of how ovulation strips work!
April 2025:
Now in the TWW, awaiting to take a test! 🙏🏾
-Apps I use-
Premom: to track cycle and record ovulation tests
Flo: to track cycle, records symptoms and notes, learn all the insights, and get/provide support from the community. Secrets chats were a great resource for support and connect with others going through the same thing.
Femia: another app to track cycle and record symptoms.
I use multiple apps since they all give me different ovulation dates. It’s nice to compare the dates to have a better idea and narrow down my fertility window.
-Purchased on Amazon-
Ovulation strips, supplements & lubricant.
Praying for all my mama’s in your TTC journey, spreading love and positive energy, and manifesting baby dust. TTC is not the easiest journey, I’d love to connect with anyone also on a TTC journey and be supportive as we navigate through this! Love ya’ll 💖

One of the toughest parts of this trying to conceive journey has been seeing those 'BFN' (Big Fat Negative) results. I know the feeling of staring at a pregnancy test, hoping for that second line, only to see just one, clear line. It's truly heartbreaking, especially when you've put so much hope into it. I've learned that a single line, as seen in many close-up images of negative tests, means your body hasn't detected enough hCG to register as pregnant. It doesn't always mean you're entirely out for the cycle, but it's a clear signal for that moment. Sometimes, BFNs can be due to testing too early, or even if implantation hasn't quite happened yet. My advice? Don't stress too much over one early BFN. Wait a couple of days and retest if your period doesn't show up. We've all been there, seeing that single line on a pregnancy test, and the emotional impact is real. After facing several BFNs, I really dove deep into understanding my cycles better, especially tracking LH levels. The images of LH progression strips in my tracking apps became my daily ritual. For those wondering about what 'low LH levels' might mean, it simply indicates that you're not yet in your fertile window or haven't ovulated. LH (Luteinizing Hormone) is what triggers ovulation, so seeing it rise from low to a 'peak!' is crucial for pinpointing your fertile window. My strips often started with very faint lines, gradually getting darker until they matched or were darker than the control line (my peak!). It's fascinating to see that progression and truly understand when your body is getting ready to release an egg. If your LH levels seem consistently low and never peak over multiple cycles, it might be worth discussing with a doctor, as it could indicate an anovulatory cycle or other factors that need attention. Speaking of tracking, I wanted to share more about the apps I’ve found incredibly helpful. While Premom is great for logging my ovulation strips and seeing that LH progression visually, I also use Flo for broader cycle tracking, symptom logging, and its supportive community features. I discovered other apps too, and the 'Femia app' has been a fantastic addition for cross-referencing data and getting different perspectives on my cycle predictions. And while I haven't gone deep into it myself yet, I've seen the 'BabyCenter app icon' frequently pop up as a highly recommended resource for pregnancy and baby development once you do get that positive. Using multiple apps allows me to compare predicted ovulation dates and get a more robust understanding of my fertile window, which has been invaluable on this journey. Beyond apps, I also pay attention to my body's natural signs, like cervical mucus, which I learned from infographics. Understanding whether it's dry, sticky, creamy, wet & watery, or like raw egg white gives me another layer of insight into my fertility. And don't forget the practical side of things, like using fertility-friendly lubricants if needed, something I also stocked up on through Amazon. This journey is a marathon, not a sprint, and every piece of information, every hopeful connection, and every bit of self-care helps me keep going.
