Replying to @RockyMountainMama WINDOW UPDATE 💚

The salesman came to our house to discuss options moving forward with the windows that I hate. Basically, I can pay to replace the glass with clear double pane for $1400 more or tinted double pane for $1800. The double pane tinted was MUCH lighter than the triple pane tinted in my opinion. The tints is very typical on newer windows, but all tints are not made equally. Basically what I’ve learned is that unless you specifically ask for clear glass, almost all new windows are made with a low E coating. I see a lot of comments saying they just had new windows replaced and theirs are clear. They likely do have coating though, they’re just not as noticeable or don’t show green. But if you open your window and look outside and it’s brighter, there’s a coating. It’s not a bad thing. Like I said, had they been double pane and let more light in, I’d probably be more okay with it. But these windows are so dark and so depressing.

I’m going to make another video on things I’ve learned, what to ask, etc so if you have any specific questions, leave them here! ##windows##homereno##homeupgrades##greenwindows##newhome
