Vanilla Bourbon Scent Routine 🥃🍨
Hey guys! I’ve been so preoccupied with my chronic pain issues and worrying about work that I haven’t posted in a while. Which sucks because I’m running out of time to post/create fall scent routines! Which is crazy because it feels like fall JUST started! Anyway, I finally got around to the Bath and Body Works Cozy Vanilla Bourbon collection! I started off with the Dove brown sugar scrub because I wanted to use something other than vanilla and this seemed like the best match. Then I used the CVB Bath and Body Works body wash and it seriously smells so good, it’s one of my favorite Bath and Body Works scents and one of my favorite vanillas. Then I realized this was the perfect time to try out the Vanilla Baby body oil by Truly. It’s a musky vanilla and it paired beautifully. I really like these body oils because they’re thick, the scent lasts, and the glitter doesn’t get all over the place. Like I swear the glitter does not transfer onto anything but skin? It’s awesome. Then I followed up with the CVB body cream and usually I find a lot of the Bath and Body Works body creams hard to rub in but this one wasn’t at all which I love. Then I used the Vanilla Musk Nemat roll on oil to give my perfume something to stick to, went in with the CVB body mist and Vanilla Baby perfume to top it off and keep it cohesive!! Overall I really love this and will definitely do it again. It’s so cozy and warm and perfect for fall! Let me know if you’ve tried or want to try any of these!!

Okay, so we all know a great scent routine starts in the shower, right? Picking the right body wash isn't just about getting clean; it's the foundation of your entire fragrance story for the day. For my cozy vanilla bourbon routine, I learned that setting the base with a complementary body wash makes all the difference. When I'm choosing a body wash, especially for layering, I think about a few key things. First, the scent itself. Does it match or at least complement the main fragrance I'm aiming for? For my vanilla bourbon vibe, starting with something like the Bath & Body Works Cozy Vanilla Bourbon body wash is a no-brainer. It immediately immerses you in that warm, inviting aroma. But sometimes, I like to create a more complex base. That's why using something like the Dove brown sugar scrub first can be amazing. It preps your skin, making it super smooth, and the subtle scent of brown sugar and coconut butter actually blends beautifully with vanilla. Beyond the scent, I also look at the ingredients. A good body wash shouldn't strip your skin; it should hydrate it. Products containing nourishing ingredients like shea butter or hyaluronic acid, often found in ultimate hydration body creams, are fantastic even in a body wash form. They help lock in moisture, which in turn helps your fragrance last longer. Think of it as creating a soft, hydrated canvas for your other scents. Another tip for maximizing your body wash's impact: really work it into a rich lather and let the steam in your shower help diffuse the scent. Don't rush the rinse! After showering, your skin is perfectly primed for the next steps in your routine. This is where body oils, like the Truly Vanilla Baby Luxury Body Oil with its bakuchiol, vitamin B3, and niacinamide, come into play. They seal in that moisture and add another layer of fragrance, especially if it's a musky vanilla that just melts into your skin. So, while the body wash might seem like a simple step, it's actually incredibly powerful in setting the tone and longevity of your whole scent routine. Experiment with different scents and formulations – you might be surprised at how much difference the right body wash makes in achieving that perfect, cohesive fragrance every single day. It truly is the unsung hero of a well-layered scent!
