Summer 2012 Scent Routine✌🏼🌊🌴🦩
Hey guys! I have been SO excited for this one. Summer 2012 for me was the first summer I spent with all my various friends, going to the mall, taking selfies, going to PINK and getting neon bras and bedazzled crop tops, switching flip flops to make crazy color combinations and finally feeling that adolescent freedom. I miss it constantly. It is one of the most nostalgic times on my life to look back on and I’m SO HAPPY Bath and Body Works brought back the Into the Wild line this year so I can be transported back in time🥹🥹To start off, I used the Paul Mitchell Clarifying Shampoo because that’s the shampoo I used that summer! For body scrub, I wanted to find one that embodied the vibes the most and also that matches Into the Wild so I picked the Tree Hut Tangerine scrub. This scrub smells so fresh and I wanna incorporate it more! For body wash, obviously I used Into the Wild. The notes of it are sparkling mandarin, pear blossom, and sugared musk so when I got out of the shower I used the Saltair Exotic Pulp body oil to match the mandarin note. For lotion I used the matching Into the Wild one along with the Into the Wild body mist. Finding a perfume that would go with the scent and the vibes perfectly was a challenge…I ended up going with Malaia from Hollister. I think it matches well enough because the sugared musk from Into the Wild and sheer woods from Malaia have a rich, sexy feel to them. I also chose Malaia because that was the perfume I used that summer! I’m absolutely OBSESSED with this routine! It brings me right back to being 12 years old🥹. Is 2012 nostalgic for you too?? LMK!
The summer scent routine detailed here connects fragrance enthusiasts with a nostalgic and immersive sensory journey back to 2012, a year filled with youthful energy and style. Central to this routine is the Bath & Body Works Into the Wild bodywash, lotion, and fine fragrance mist. Known for its evocative blend of sparkling mandarin, pear blossom, and sugared musk, this collection offers a fresh yet warm aroma perfect for summer days. The incorporation of the Paul Mitchell Clarifying Shampoo, praised for removing buildup and purifying hair, complements the bodycare elements by ensuring a clean and revitalized base. The Tree Hut Tangerine Shea Sugar Scrub enhances the routine with its bright vitamin C infusion and salicylic acid, which help to exfoliate and brighten skin, mirroring the citrusy notes of the Into the Wild scent. This scrub’s shea sugar formulation nourishes the skin while promoting smoothness and radiance, an ideal preparation before the application of body wash and lotion. To further amplify the mandarin note, the Saltair Exotic Pulp Nourishing Body Oil is used. Its rich texture locks in moisture while adding depth to the citrus fragrance, enhancing overall hydration and scent longevity. The choice of Malaia Eau de Parfum by Hollister as the finishing touch introduces sheer woods and sugared musk into the scent profile, creating a balanced and sensual contrast to the bright top notes. This perfume’s rich, sexy character harmonizes well with the Into the Wild line and evokes the carefree spirit of youthful summers. Combining products with matching scent profiles and complementary textures forms a cohesive routine that not only smells wonderful but also nurtures skin and hair. This scent ritual serves as a poignant reminder of adolescent freedom and fond memories of 2012, highlighting how fragrance can revive emotions and transport one back in time. For anyone seeking an uplifting summer scent routine that balances freshness, warmth, and nostalgia, this curated selection of products provides a delightful and effective regimen. In addition to the sensory appeal, these products incorporate beneficial ingredients such as vitamin B5 in the bodywash to support skin health and aloe to soothe and hydrate. The synergy of well-chosen bodycare and fragrance products exemplifies how scent routines can go beyond mere aroma to offer a comprehensive sensory and skincare experience, enhancing overall confidence and mood during the warmer months.
