Sweet Violet Scent Routine 💟
Hey guys, just catching up on my Valentine’s Day routines. This one was really cool. It started with my obsession with Anne Boleyn, the Queen and 2nd wife of Henry VIII. I was looking up online what perfumes she might have worn-and what they had available in the 1520s and 1530s and stumbled upon a brand called Immortal Perfumes. They have perfumes inspired by historical figures as well as literary characters. There was an Anne inspired one titled Boleyn with notes of vegan civet, champagne, dragons blood and violet. Apparently Anne really liked champagne and violets and that’s how this fragrance was born. I loved it so much when I first got it but I had no idea what I was gonna pair it with. Then a couple months later the Violet Victory line from Tree Hut came out and I also discovered Victoria’s Secret had a lotion and body mist duo called Sweet Sugared Violets and I knew that was the routine I wanted to do for Valentine’s Day. I started off with the Violet Victory scrub of course and then the body wash. I used an unscented body serum instead of a scented oil and didn’t include a pic of it in this post. Then…I WANTED to use the Sweet Sugared Violet lotion…and I couldn’t find it. I looked EVERYWHERE. My bf looked everywhere. And we did. not. find it. I was SO upset. It was sold out on the VS site so I ended up buying a new one from a reseller. I knew I really liked the fragrance and wanted it in my collection…but I was so mad I had to buy it again. It’s a complete mystery what happened to the initial one I had. Anyway; I moved on and used the matching body mist that I hadn’t lost. Then I used my sample size Boleyn oil. It really smells like fresh flowers and I love it. I finished the routine off with the Dolce Violet perfume from Dolce Gabbana. It came together really nice and despite the lotion snafu, I really enjoyed it and it was a nice, different kind of routine for Valentine’s Day. Stay tuned while I catch up on posting 😅
