Past Jobs Paycheck

Ever since I was 16 I have been working to help out my mom with bills. I have had my fair share of various jobs over time and here is what I have learned.

Regals 24 Movies 🎥

• $15 dollars an hour

• Late hours due to being in high school

• unlimited Access to movies 🎥

• Free drinks and popcorn 🍿

Marshalls 🛍️

• $15 dollars an hour

• Working hours vary based on their availability

• 50% discount on everything in store

Primrose School 🏫

• $16 dollars an hour Bi-weekly

• After a year received a pay increase

• After a year became a lead teacher with my own classroom

Nanny 🧸

• $18-22 dollars an hour

• Pay varies depending on the nanny responsibilities

• Don’t do anything extra that isn’t in the job description unless you are getting more pay.

• had over three nanny positions over the course of 3 years.

Work From Home 🏠 💻

• $15-18 dollars an hour

• work at three work from home positions over the course of three years.

• Valor Global 🖥️ felt like I was scamming old people would never work there again. Also I had to work 12am-8am the next morning.

Infinity 📞not worth the pay for the amount of work that you do. Rules changed constantly so it was almost impossible to get bonus. Never a pay increase or opportunity for a new job position.

• Current job ☎️ Amazing. Happy with my current work position and better pay.

For example, jobs in retail like at Marshalls offer significant employee discounts, making them attractive for students. Transitioning to roles like babysitting or teaching can lead to higher hourly wages, but they come with varied responsibilities and demands. Moreover, work-from-home positions can offer flexibility but often require careful consideration of workload versus pay rate. It's essential to evaluate such roles critically to avoid pitfalls, such as feeling undervalued or overworked. Engaging with potential employers transparently about responsibilities may lead to better job satisfaction and career growth. Understanding your worth in the job market can empower you to negotiate better terms, ensuring that your paycheck reflects your effort and expertise. Always remember that the job landscape is dynamic; continually seek out roles that align not only with your financial goals but also with your personal values and work-life balance.
